Full formal EMC testing at an accredited lab such as BSI
for less than £1000?

As independent consultants we are continually testing various electronic modules and we try to reduce your test fees by sharing the cost, after all it is more representive to use the latest support equipment::
  • Liaise with a PC chassis manufacturer to determine if they would contribute to combined testing.
  • Liaise with peripheral manufacturers, i.e. monitor, telephone, printer and again invite a contribution.
  • Liaise with telecom card or specific application hardware manufacturer for a contribution.
  • So  now we have your system with 5 modules from different manufacturers.
  • A Full formal Compliance test is performed on the full system at an accredited test lab.
  • The test lab prepare 6 test reports, one for each module with the remaing modules classed as "support equipment".
  • So assuming £300 per report and testing at £4K for EMC, we have a total £6000 divided between 6 equalls £1000 eachDraw up a list of modules and components.
  • At times it may be necessary to revert to a previously approved piece of support equipment due to non-compliance in the event that a quick solution is not available.
  • Experience has shown that a quick fix is usually possible which, although not ideal, will provide the manufacturer some breathing space to productionize a solution without causing major delays in "Time to Market".
